AGM 2010 - Supervisors report
Annual General Meeting - 10th December, 2010.
The board of Supervisors work independently of the Board of Directors of the Credit Union. We attend the monthly meetings and some of the various sub committee meetings, and generally oversee the performance and functions of the Board. We act on behalf of you, the members, and in doing socheck various items at random. We also carry out surveys of members balances to verify that theyare correct and in accordance with the member themselves. We are happy to report that the business of the Credit Union is dealt with in a professional manner. At all times the interests of the members are paramount and decisions are made with the greatest concern for you. It has been a difficult year for everybody but the enthusiasm of the board has not waned. They arealways willing to volunteer their time and have always displayed a professional and genuine interest in the business of the Credit Union. I want to thank the Board of Directors for their co-operation at all times. Also, the Manager and staff who have been so courteous and kind. We have as Supervisors always enjoyed a strong and good workingrelationship with everybody in the Credit Union and we are happy that everything is working in thegreatest interest of the members and Kanturk Credit Union. I would like alwo to thank my fellow Supervisors for their hard work and co-operation during this year, andfor making themselves available - sometimes at short notice. It is important to understand that Boardmembers are volunteers and give of their time with a generousity that is unparalleled. Without this co-operation and commitment, the Credit Union would not function - particularly this year when the affairsof the Credit Union have been guided through a most difficult time. The Manager and staff are acutely aware of the needs and concerns fo the business and the members. Allthis, combined with the workings of the Board, leaves Kanturk Credit Union on a firm and solid footing forthe future. Thank you. Billy Murphy - Chairman - Supervisory committee.
