Annual General Meeting - 10th December, 2010
The primary duty of the membership committee is to ensure that all applications to joinKanturk Credit Union Limited satisfy the eligibility requirements. Eligibility to join is definedby our common bond which includes people residing or employed in the parishes of Kanturk, Lismire, Banteer, Castlemagner, Kilbrin, Dromtarriffe, Freemount and Tullylease. In addition, family members of an existing Credit Union member who reside with the memberare also accepted as members. All that is required to open an account with Kanturk Credit Union Limited is an initial lodgement of €6.35. It will be the best investment you will ever make!We would encourage members to avail of our "new born" accounts scheme. Parents/Guardians who open an account for their children under the age of 12 months will automatically receive alodgement of €25.00 to the child's account as a "thank you" from Kanturk Credit Union Limited. As a member of Kanturk Credit Union Limited, every member can nominate a person or personsof their choosing, to be beneficiaries fo their savings in the event of death. If you have recentlymarried or re-married, or if you have reached the age of 16, we woudl advise you to complete or update the "nomination form". As the maximum payable under a nomination is €23,000.00, a nomination can be a very useful way of bequeathing funds to family or friends as desired. Any member of staff will be happy to answer any queries you may have regarding nominations. We would also encourage any member who has changed address or telephone numbers to please notify the Credit Union immediately. Simpluy bring a recent household bill or documentwith your new address details, and we will update our records accordingly.
