Life Savings Insurance - free to Members!

• This insurance is provided free of charge to Members - it is paid for by Kanturk Credit Union Limited
• Available to Members who join before their 70th birthday and are "fit to follow their normal occupation or duties"
• Paid on the death of the Member
• Benefit paid in proportion to the amount of savings a Member has, and depends on the Member's age at date of lodgement
• First named only on joint accounts

Loan Protection Insurance - free to Members!

• This insurance is provided free of charge to Members - it is paid for by Kanturk Credit Union Limited
• Clears loans in the death of the Member
• Available for Members aged 16-80 years. (Usually 70, but Kanturk Credit Union Limited offers the insurance to age 80.).
• Declaration of Health "I confirm that I am fit to follow my normal occupation or duties" usually required for larger loans.
• Also covers total and permanent disability, up to €40,000.00 before age 60.
• First named only on joint accounts

 Death Benefit Insurance - free to Members!

• Members must join before their 70th Birthday
• The basic benefit is €1,300 payable on the death of the Member
• The Death Benefit Insurance is provided at no additional cost to you the Member
• Special Death Benefit (DBI) is designed to relieve he burden of bereavement costs

Enhancements to the Death Benefit Insurance policy take effect from the 1st July, 2010.

• In the event of accidental death, the basic death benefit insurance is doubled to €2,600.00. 

Repayment Protection Insurance

Available at your Credit Union!

Repayment Protection Insurance is an insurance policy which meets your loan repayment for a specified period of time if you are forced out of work because of
• Sickness • Accident • Redundancy

To avail of this insurance, you or your spouse must be in full-time employment and must be aged between 18 and 70.

Making a claim under Repayment Protection Insurance

• Contact your local Credit Union for an application form.
• Staff at the Credit Union will go through what is required, and will provide you with a helpsheet entitled "Making a claim". This helpsheet details what supporting documentation is required by the Insurance Company to process your claim.
